Pickups are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates and locations: Dec. 4 in Country Club South; Dec. 11 in Country Club North; Dec. 18 in Summerfield; and Dec. 19 in Greenbrook.

+ Swiftmud declares water shortage
The Governing Board of the Southwest Water Management District has voted to enter into a Phase 1 Water Shortage Order for all counties within its boundaries, including Manatee.
The “Phase 1” declaration means conditions are drier than normal. All water users, whether utilities or residents, should review their current uses and procedures for water usage and incorporate conservation measures.
At this time, watering days and times are not affected, although the issue could be reconsidered if drought conditions continue.
