PHOTO GALLERY: Cars Under the Stars Kick-Off Party

The silent auction, alone, raised more than $12,000 during the first Cars Under the Stars Kick-Off Party Friday Nov. 3, at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised at the event were donated to the Life or Riley Foundation, a nonprofit that provides assistance to families with a child going through treatments for a pediatric brain tumor. The two biggest auction items were a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle that went for $4,000 and a guitar autographed by AC/DC's Brian Johnson that went for $2,000. Leslie Sharp chaired the event.
