3 a.m. - 7305 S.R. 70 E. (BP Gas Station). Petit retail theft. The complainant reported an unknown suspect came into the gas station and headed directly to the beer display. He picked up a 24-pack of beer and ran out the door without paying for the beer. The complainant observed the suspect get into the suspect vehicle, which drove toward the Creekwood subdivision. The complainant stated the incident might have been caught on camera. If so, he will bring the video evidence to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The complainant was given a case number.
