Citizens group says it can't pay settlement

A Sarasota County judge ordered a citizens group to pay the county more than $19,000 in legal fees after the county won a 2010 Sunshine Laws case, but the fees remain unpaid.

The Siesta Key Condominium Council met Tuesday, Jan. 17, and dished out awards to the winners of the Siesta Key Holiday Spirit Condominium Lighting Contest. Condominiums were divided into categories according to number of units. Category I was for condominiums containing 101 or more units, category II was for 51 to 100 units and category III was for 50 or fewer units. The first place winners for each category were Siesta Dunes, Beach Haven and Sandpiper Beach Club, respectively.
