Florence Katz 'pens' down project

Florence Katz turns 94 in July and now lives at the Sarasota Bay Club, but she hasn't slowed down a bit. Founder of the Temple Beth Israel choir and Temple Tuesday, a luncheon gathering of elderly temple members, she now has a new project.

Party problems. 4:34 p.m. -- 100 block of North Shore Road. Code Enforcement. A man reported that three men were on Beer Can Island "partying." Police found the underage suspects in a self-made lean-to with several empty beer cans nearby. The spring breakers were cooperative, and the remaining beer was emptied.
