St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church's women's guild hosted a welcome back luncheon and first meeting following 11 a.m. mass on Tuesday, Oct. 18. And it was a packed house. The women had three types of homemade quiche and salad, and luckily made enough to feed an army.

The Sarasota Chapter of Interior Design Society hosted its first 'Party on the Pass' benefiting Trinity Charities at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron on Saturday, Oct. 15. Trinity Charities, Inc. is an HIV/AIDS service organization that provides services to individuals in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
