Fifteen cricket teams from around the world competed in the 20th annual Six-A-Side Festival Nov. 28 through Dec. 1 at the Sarasota International Cricket Club in Lakewood Ranch. The Memorial Cricket Club from Houston, Texas defeated a team from the Cayman Islands in the Dec. 1 final.

The Sarasota Military Academy boys and girls soccer teams played host to The Out-of-Door Academy Nov. 14. The ODA boys team defeated SMA 2-1. Tait Lystad and Trevor Gorji each scored a goal for ODA. The ODA girls team won 3-0. Caitlyn Camire, Katie Lang and Kimmy Comito all scored goals for ODA.
