PHOTO GALLERY: Suncoast Food and Wine Fest

The Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch celebrated its 10th Suncoast Food and Wine Fest Nov. 12, at the Sarasota Polo Club. The event featured more than 300 American and international wines, food from 35 of the area's top restaurants, cooking demonstrations, beer tastings, silent auction, live music and more. Proceeds benefit the charities and projects of the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch.

The Stoneybrook Dining Out Club, Helping Hands Committee and Harbour Hatties sponsored Heritage Harbour's seventh annual fashion show Nov. 12, at Stoneybrook Golf Club. The event's theme was "Today's Women: Sophistication and Style," and money raised will benefit Cancer Support Community.

Manatee County commissioners, county officials and Tom Bennett's extended family celebrated the completion of a dream during the Bennett Park grand opening celebration and festival Nov. 12. Former commissioner Jonathan Bruce spoke about the park's long history, and Lakewood Ranch High School's JROTC presented the colors during the ceremony. Commissioner and veteran Larry Bustle raised the American flag for the first time at the park.
