A home in Country Club of Lakewood Ranch tops all transactions in this week's real estate. Scott and Marie Buckout, Lakewood Ranch, sold their home at 7016 Lacantera Circle to Christopher Manning, of Harford, Conn., for $1,085,000.

The Braden River and Lakewood Ranch High baseball teams spent Spring Break competing against some of the top teams in the state during the annual Sarasota Baseball Classic March 12-15. The Pirates went 2-2 in the Premier Division while The Mustangs went 2-2 in the Elite Division. Braden River opened up its tournament with a 4-1 victory over Benjamin March 12. The Pirates then fell to North Port (7-6) and Miami Palmetto (8-7) before bouncing back to defeat Berkley Prep (4-3). Across town, Lakewood opened u its tournament with an 8-3 victory over Montverde Academy March 12. The Mustangs then fell to tournament champion Barron Collier (14-2) and Sarasota (6-2) before shutting out Miami Sunset 7-0 March 15. Lakewood's Zack Larson was named the Elite Division's best hitter.
