PHOTO GALLERY: s/ART/q Print Party

There were 12 prints to choose from at this year's two-day print party hosted by s/ART/q on Saturday, Oct. 22 at WSLR 96.5 LPFM. Typewriters, a cute dog, ribbons, produce, cool-looking fish - it's no wonder there were so many people getting hip images transferred to their long johns, jeans, aprons and plenty of t-shirts. Live music, food and crafts for children entertained the thousands of attendees while they waited for their screen-printed works of art. Each print was $5 and helped the group of local artists raise funds for SELECT Fair in December in Miami.

BACKSTAGE PASS: Sarasota community presents the city's cultural transformation

The house was designed on a 5-foot grid, which helps the building and landscape come together. Zoysia grass was used in the front yard because it is more draught tolerant and likes edge conditions.
