The town of Longboat Key’s annual Community Open House returns March 8.

According to a release from the town, this year’s open house is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year’s event.

The open house will include live music, food trucks, vendors and complimentary products from Gold Coast Eagle Distributing.

Local organizations and businesses are invited to join the open house to set up tables and tents along the Town Center Green for the event.

Also, at the event, will be town departments, religious organizations, non-profits, a Sarasota County HazMat drive-through drop off and the Sarasota County Pop-Up Library.

“This was such a fun day for everyone last year, and this year we’ll expand to include even more of our community businesses and all groups that build our wonderful community,” Assistant to the Town Manager Susan Phillips said in a press release.

The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at the Town Center Green (600 Bay Isles Road).
