Fab Lab STEAM Summer Camps

Kiddie Academy of Lakewood Ranch Camp Adventure

Details: The CampVentures curriculum is built upon a series of themes designed to inspire children to explore, create, interact and stay active. For younger campers, each day is spent practicing a preschool activity. Special events include a magic show and petting zoo. Details: This camp includes hands-on lessons developed with three interactive exercises by IT specialists, computer scientists and engineers. Participants will become a Lego Master through STEM challenges, quick fires and twists while also learning how to design like a Lego Master with Lego Designer and Lego Digital Design Series. Participants will explore, challenge, innovate, develop, design, build and code using Lego Programming and Robotics with Mindstorms.

Details: This camp involves hands-on lessons developed with three interactive exercises by STEMania Teachers at ODA. Students can become a Lego Master through STEM challenges, quick fires and twists as they explore, challenge, innovate, develop, design, build and code using Lego programming and robotics with WeDo.

Robots X2

Uihlein campus

Details: Working in teams of two, campers will use both the Dash and Cue robots. Both types of robots can sense, act and think. Campers will use block-based coding on different apps to control their robot and will then use their new skills to complete various challenges including soccer and the catapult challenge. Robots are for camp use only; campers will not be allowed to take them home.

Spy Games Series 1

Details: This camp includes a hands-on lesson developed with three interactive exercises by IT specialists, computer scientists and engineers. Campers will be immersed in the world of espionage as they design and code their way through a series of Hacker Challenges using the StealthOps Gearbox that uses cutting-edge electronics, programming tools and computer technology. The week ends with the Ultimate Cipher Challenge to earn the prestigious title of secret agent.

Details: Spy Games Series 1 is a prerequisite to attend this camp.
