Emily Acklin, Tara's social chair, said she wanted to build a sense of community within her neighborhood.

So for the third consecutive year, among other events, she put together the Tara Holiday Golf Cart Parade.

Acklin said the only real goals for the parade were for neighbors to spend time with each other, and to have fun.

On Dec. 13, it appeared she had accomplished her goal.

As the neighbors lined up with their decorated golf carts, everyone was smiling.

After the approximately 20 golf carts did a tour of the course, they headed back to Tara Golf and Country Club for live music by the Funky Monkey band, and a dinner.
