North-end road repair begins Monday on Longboat

Roadwork began Monday in Longbeach Village, Jungle Queen Way and Norton Street. 

The tentative work schedule is as follows: 

In the The Village including Russell Street, a portion of Longboat Drive North and various intersections:

• Jan. 16: Curb removal 
• Jan. 18-19: Remove and repair failing asphalt 
• Jan. 19-23: Mill and overlay streets

Replacing the curb is to be determined.

On Norton Street

• Jan. 23-24: Remove and repair asphalt

The town’s website made note that the repair patching is for safety only, and the street may be subject to future street and drainage improvements. 

Jungle Queen Way

• Jan. 24-25: Remove and repair failing asphalt 
• Jan. 26-27: Mill and overlay street

The town asks that residents and visitors keep in mind that the work schedule is subject to fluctuation.
