Designing Women hosts evening packed with fashion, flowers and philanthropy

There were so many fabulous things going on at the Designing Women Boutique’s Where Fashion and Philanthropy Meet gala, it was a challenge to focus on just one.

Was it the fashion show featuring exceptional women from the community? Or the “floral glam” attire sported by attendees? Or maybe the performance by special guest and “American Idol” finalist Jonathan Cortez? Or perhaps what was going on outside, with Marie Selby Botanical Gardens’ Lights in Bloom holiday display shining in through the windows of Michael’s on the Bay?

No matter where you focused, the night of Dec. 10 was a hit for the nonprofit, which supports arts and human services organizations in the Sarasota area. The event, co-chaired by Ida Zito and Margaret Wise, brought together the best of what Designing Women celebrates and supports.
