Bird Key Yacht Club lights, blesses the fleet

The Bird Key Yacht Club celebrated the holidays with dancing and giving.

The Bird Key Yacht Club has been busy stringing lights and collecting toys. On Dec. 3, members carried on a 62-year-old tradition by blessing and lighting their fleet. Church of the Redeemer’s Father Hurst blessed the fleet first, then members danced the night away to the music of the Vocalitas.

On Dec. 9, the club made its annual donation to Toys for Tots. All the toys were donated by members.
