Sarasota teen is Florida's youth of the year

Marguerite Andrich, a 17-year-old senior Pine View School, is the Boys & Girls Clubs Florida Youth of the Year. It's the third year in a row a teen from the Sarasota County chapter was so honored. 

She will compete at the regional level in September. 

Andrich plans to pursue a career in environmental law. 

Three other Sarasota teens were finalists for the state award: Rah’Nia Hill, 14, a freshman at Sarasota High School; Yaeli Bobadilla Rosas, a senior at Riverview High School and Vanessa Tase Sueiro, 17, a senior at Riverview High School.
