He was last seen prior to 6 p.m. on Oct. 24 near his apartment at 7238 Cloister Dr. in Sarasota. Police believe he left the area in his 2003 silver Hyundai Elantra 4D with Florida tag IKYV33.

Menetrier lives at home with his wife, who also suffers from dementia, the sheriff's office said in a statement. He has no additional known friends or family in the area and police believe he typically only travels to and from a nearby shopping center.

The Silver Alert described Menetrier as a white male standing 5 feet tall and weighing 165 pounds.

If located, residents are asked to contact the sheriff’s office immediately at (941) 316-1201.
