In theater, it’s all about the final scene, and Asolo Repertory Theatre knows how to go out with a bang.
And that it did on Oct. 24 with a colorful sunset over the waters of Nathan Benderson Park for the annual Welcome Back Party. Patrons and actors alike gathered for light bites, drinks and thumping tunes from a DJ stationed above them at the Finish Tower.
“This is a Tuesday Night in Sarasota,” said Asolo Rep Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards with a laugh. “This is how we roll at Asolo Rep.”
\Guests also enjoyed a sneak peek of the company’s next production, “Evita.” Lead Ana Isabelle sang “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” before being joined onstage by cast members to perform “A New Argentina.”
