Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center’s Amazing Raise isn’t like most fundraisers.
It begins with a clue, a van and a team of eight competitive residents who have been fundraising for weeks. And when they get in that van, it’s showtime.
After racing through a foam pit, a blow-up obstacle course, a CrossFit gym and even on the backs of exercise balls disguised as horses, it was time to celebrate their hard work. And that they did at the Raise the Roof Party.
Teams gathered in the ballroom to snack, sip and sing at the top of their lungs as they danced to the throwback jams pumping through the speakers Oct. 14 at Michael’s On East.
Top fundraising team The Met Mavens were honored with purple medals, as well as scavenger hunt winners A Team as shiny purple confetti fell all around them.
