The Out-of-Door Academy defeated Shorecrest Prep 45-14. Senior quarterback Gus Mahler went 10-15 for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown. With the win, the Thunder clinched a spot in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference playoffs. ODA's last postseason berth came in 2010, when they were a Florida High School Athletic Association member school.

Lakewood Ranch High fell 49-3 to Venice High. The score was 42-3 at halftime, which instigated a second-half running clock. Senior running back Mason Fischer led the Mustangs with 91 rushing yards, and junior kicker Travis Freeman hit a 50-yard field goal for Lakewood Ranch's only points.
