It was a stampede of ballgowns and tuxedos March 30 entering Michael’s On East…

April fools! The annual April Fools’ Fete, the spring fundraiser for Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, had a laid-back vibe this year. Guests donned their most stylish casual wear, mingled during cocktail hour then headed to the ballroom for an indoor “picnic” complete with burgers and potato chips.

Guests were then treated to several performances, including a group of children from the Stage of Discovery camp that debuted last summer. Those singers performed a piece by WBTT Founder/Artistic Director Nate Jacobs called “Walking Down Fairytale Lane.”
