Denise Pope, executive vice president and chief philanthropy officer for Tidewell Hospice, has made it her mission to debunk the myths and misconceptions surrounding hospice care.
On March 30 at Designing Women Boutique, several lecture guests told her she succeeded.
Pope addressed several common misunderstandings involving what hospice care entails, explained the various services that Tidewell offers that are not typical of all hospice providers, and shared several touching stories of how several patients’ lives were actually prolonged with the help of Tidewell.
The Designing Women Boutique Salon Series is a monthly lecture series at the boutique that features several community speakers throughout the season, along with a boxed lunch and style show after the talk. The next installment (and final lecture of the season) is on April 27, features Carolyn Michel and is titled “Ingenue To Character Actor...A Life In The Theater.”
