Lighthouse of Manasota’s slogan is “Shining new light on living with vision loss,” and that’s exactly what was done at its second annual fundraising event, Art in the Dark.

Supporters of the organization gathered on March 24 at Michael’s On East for a dinner, silent auction (with items ranging from a round of golf for four at Sarasota National to a Sarasota Arts Immersion package with tickets to Sailor Circus, Florida Studio Theatre, The Players Centre for Performing Arts and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens), and programming to teach them more about the not for profit.

Lighthouse of Manasota is a resource center for visually impaired adults and children in Sarasota and Manatee counties that offers services such as an Independent Living Adult Program, Orientation and Mobility training, the PAK (Parent and Kids) Summer Camp, Early Intervention Blind Babies Program and computer training with adaptive software.
