1 — Braden River Middle School seventh-grader Conner Dutting-Morrell, 12, won his first United Sprint Car Series 600 race at Hattiesburg Speedway in Mississippi on March 3.

2 — The Out-of-Door Academy softball team beat the Imagine School of North Port 23-8 on March 7 for the program's first win since being reestablished this season. 

3 — Braden River softball freshman Emma Anthony hit two home runs and had five RBI in the Pirates’ 14-0 win over Armwood on March 7.

4 — Lakewood Ranch baseball junior Pablo Garabitos racked up 13 strikeouts over 6 ⅓ innings in the Mustangs’ 4-2 win over Manatee on March 7.

5 — Barbara Gold won the Palm Aire Country Club Women's Golf Association individual low net event on March 7, shooting 64.
