Pines of Sarasota thanks its top donors

The Giving Tree Society Luncheon was held on March 14 at Michael’s on the Bay.

Guests were all smiles March 14 when Pines of Sarasota Rehabilitation & Senior Care Community celebrated its top donors at Michael’s on the Bay at Selby Gardens.

Event-goers consisted of members of the Giving Tree Society, which is a group of individuals who have all donated $1,000 or more to the organization in a single calendar year.

The luncheon began with a welcome from  President of Pines of Sarasota Foundation Estelle Crawford, who described a recent celebration that the center held for their residents who are 100 years old or older. Crawford expressed her love and appreciation for these residents, especially their oldest, a 104-year-old woman who taught Crawford to “never leave the house without lipstick on" — which reminded her to check if hers was still on.
