Longboat to host transit workshop

On Monday, transportation officials from Sarasota and manatee counties will outline public transit changes coming to the Key.

As Manatee County Area Transit prepares to launch an on-demand shuttle service on Longboat Key, MCAT and Sarasota County Area Transit officials will present route changes during a public meeting next week.

The workshop will take place at noon Monday, Jan. 23, at Town Hall, which is located at 501 Bay Isles Road.
