Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch hosts movie night

The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch hopes it has found a way to keep East County children busy on select Friday nights.

"Movies on the Green," a monthly series of family films that also will include a kids' zone, food vendors and sponsor's booths, debuts on Sept. 30 with "The Sandlot."

Admission is free but a $5 parking fee will be charged. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movies will begin at 8 p.m.

Others movies will be "Alvin and the Chipmunks" on Oct. 21; "Home Alone" on Nov. 18; "Garfield" on Jan. 27; "Shrek" on Feb. 24; "Rio" on March 31; and "Home" on April 28. All movies are rated PG.
