The Ringling College Library Association has named a leader for its Town Hall Lecture Series, which has brought big names including astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, current presidential candidate Ben Carson and Tom Brokaw to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

Visit Sarasota County Managing Director Stephanie Grosskreutz will take on the role of executive director of the Library Association March, after more than a decade with the local tourism marketing organization. Grosskreutz has volunteered with the organization for more than six years and served as Town Hall chairwoman in 2013.

The Library Association has contributed $3.6 million toward the new 46,000-square-foot, $18 million Alfred R. Goldstein Library, which is currently under construction at Ringling College of Art and Design.

“(Grosskreutz) is a dedicated, tireless leader with a strong skill set that defines this new role,” said Ringling College Library Association President Renee Eppard in a news release. “She understands every level of detail it takes to deliver a consistently sold-out series that not only impresses our Town Hall audiences but add values to our sponsors who are some of the most respected businesses and non-profits in our community.”
