AJC West Coast Florida hosted its August “Lunch & Learn” event on Tuesday, August 16 at Michael’s On East. Attendees enjoyed tuna nicoise for the main course and carrot cake for dessert. The event was sponsored by Williams Parker, the local law firm which also supplied attendees with gift bags. AJC Director of International Jewish Affairs Rabbi Andy Baker was the speaker, and his lecture was titled “Do European Jews Have a Future?” Baker is known for his work combatting anti-semitism in Europe. He’s also received honors from the presidents of Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia and Romania for his efforts in helping these nations serve Holocaust survivors and memorialize Holocaust victims.
