Sarasota High School celebrates homecoming game with royal procession and '65 football team.

Homecoming at Sarasota High School brought together alumni and current students for one evening Friday, Oct. 23 for the football game against North Port High School.
The student section had some help from alumni to cheer on the Sailors to a 33-13 win over the North Port Bobcats. Members of the 1965 Sailors football team were in attendance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their undefeated season.
During halftime the '65 team led the homecoming court procession of vehicles around the stadium on a float.
The freshman class named Jacara Wright and Avery Kyser as princess and prince, respectively. The sophomore class was represented by Yesinia Mondragon and Oziel Zambrano. Juniors voted for Abbey McCauley and Xakari Hawkins to serve as princess and prince for their class.
The 2015 senior court included Clara Boyas, Aris Pineda and Josh Thompson. Seniors Alyssa Sloan and Ryan Jenkins were crowned queen and king.
