While real estate sale prices on Siesta Key remain lower than in 2014, the island’s market appears to be catching up to the previous year, according to data from the third quarter of 2015.

While the median sale prices on the island fell about 5% to $520,000 in the months of July, August and September, the number of sales rose about a percent to 141 in the latest quarter of 2015. And both numbers outpaced Siesta’s totals from the same quarter in 2013.

Also, the island's median sales price outpaced the countywide number — $215,000 — by more than double during the period.
