SPARCC honors community leaders with courage

The Safe Place And Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) welcomed community leaders to the Men of Courage Breakfast Friday morning at the Field Club.  

The annual event is designed to encourage men to become part of the conversation to help survivors of domestic abuse. Sarasota Police Department Deputy Chief Pat Robinson served as the keynote speaker for the morning. During his speech he noted that courage can come in many forms and referenced Sarasota High School coach and former administrator Eddie Howell, who died on Wednesday. 

"Please have the courage to help people," Robinson said.
