Once through the sheer drapes of an archway that resembles the India Gate, Sarasota High School students were transported to Bollywood for prom Saturday night at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. A night in Bollywood was the theme complete with myriad colors, camels and elephants—cardboard cutouts anyway.

Select students went as far as to incorporate the theme into their attire choices opting for henna tattoos, ornate jewelry and headpieces.
