Classic cars cruise into Lakewood Ranch Main Street

From fuzzy dice to red vinyl interiors, classic cars brought back memories of decades past on Lakewood Ranch Main Street tonight.
Ed's Tavern hosted "The Classics," a car show, pulling enthusiasts from Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas to admire perfect restorations.
Ron Plank and his wife, Rosa, brought in their 1938 Chevy Coupe. Although Ron Plank said he was the one that had "always been into cars," both of them enjoy attendings car shows and meeting new people. Rosa Plank said she loved seeing other people's creativity and individuality shine through in the paint colors and details they chose for their cars.
For Ron, he enjoyed seeing cars that brought back memories.
"That one was popular in my heyday," he said, pointing at a 1964 Chevy.

Bob Barbera added a drive-in tray to his 1957 Chevy Nomad.
Some car owners added a little retro flare to their classic restorations.
Dan Ward talked to Alan Randaal and Mark Jordan about his 1987 Buick Grand Nation, which was the fastest production car made in that year.
Sylvia Winpigler said this 1964 Chevy Impala SS was a wintertime project she and her husband, Terry, worked on together.
Ron and Rosa Plank purchased this 1938 Chevy Coupe when Ron said he fell in love with it.
Pat Harvey has restored several Ford Coupes, including this 1937 model.
Don Greenwood inherited this 1966 Pontiac Lemans from his uncle, who bought the car new in 1966.
This classic was a eye-catcher at Ed's Tavern Classic Car Show Wednesday.
