The name's Bond... James Bond.

Lakewood Ranch High School juniors planned a "Black Tie Affair" prom, complete with the last several 007 actor cut outs leading attendees into the Hyatt Regency Sarasota ballroom. About 570 students attended the dance held Friday, May 1.

Kristen Schmitt, a senior, said she liked seeing everyone dress up and look nice for the dance, especially with graduation on the horizon.

"It's nice to see everyone together one last time before we graduate," Schmitt said.

For Macie French, a junior student's mother who also organized the prom, said the night was bittersweet. She's been involved in organizing 11 proms, but this one is a little different: French's youngest daughter, Bailee, got to go to the dance this year. Melissa Koehlinger, the cheerleading coach, has known Macie since she was pregnant with Bailee. Koehlinger has also been involved in several proms, but said her connection to the Frenchs made this year her favorite.
