One of the most extreme types of Easter egg hunts in East County, The Tabernacle Church brings its annual hunt to new heights. March 28, a helicopter covered the church’s field with more than 15,000 candy-filled eggs, at the 3rd annual Easter Egg Drop and Family Easter Festival. After children ages 3 to 12 scrambled to fill their baskets with the plastic eggs, they enjoyed games, food, crafts and other activities. The event also featured a Tot Lot area for toddlers, along with a free grocery and clothing booth for attendees in need.
