The Asian Women's Club of Lakewood Ranch tonight celebrated its Asian heritage.

The Lakewood Ranch Asian Women’s Club welcomed nearly 50 guests Saturday to The Lake Club Grande Clubhouse for the organization’s annual Orchid Ball. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before dinner.

The evening’s program, which included an Asian fashion show featuring authentic outfits from countries like Vietnam, India, Pakistan and Singapore, was followed by an evening of  before dancing to live music by Arun Bhagwat’s Musical Moments.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the group’s scholarship fund for needy students at State College of Florida.
