• adam and the plastic, Buffalo Wizards and Lesa Silvermore — takes place at 9 p.m. at Growler's Pub. Orlando psych-rockers, adam and the plastic join local acts Buffalo Wizards and Lesa Silvermore for this show. Free.

Saturday, Jan. 10

• Bayfront and Brews — takes place from 4  to 5:30 p.m. at JDub's. Join Bayfront 20:20 as they continue the discussion of developing Sarasota's bayfront and enjoy some freshly tapped JDub's beer. Free beer for the first 100 guests. Mouthole BBQ will also be on site from 3 to 7 p.m. Free.
• Thunder by the Bay — takes place all weekend, downtown. This 17th annual motorcycle festival returns to downtown Sarasota with a full weekend of events, but our best bet is the downtown festival, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Black Diamond Burlesque: La Dulce Vita — takes place from 9 to 11 p.m. at Primo Ristorante. This show brings vaudeville, variety and striptease to Primo Ristorante for the first time. Ticket includes your first drink. $20 online or $25 at the door.
