Whole Foods headed to University Park

A second Whole Foods Market for the area is headed to East County.

The 40,000-square foot organic grocery store will be built across the street from the Fresh Market at the intersection of Honore Avenue and University Parkway.

No construction timetable has been finalized yet and a lease signed states the store is required to open in the next two years, according to a Whole Foods press release.

The only other Whole Foods in the area is at 1451 First St., Sarasota.
