The Southside Foundation went all in for a casino night fundraiser for the elementary school Friday evening at Michael’s on East. Classic casino-themed games included blackjack and craps to help collect money for the dance program at Southside Elementary School. The school is one of only two in Sarasota County that offers music, visual art, theatre and dance to students in all grade levels.
“We’re very fortunate to have parents, community sponsors and business partners who believe in it,” said Steve Dragon, principal for Southside Elementary School. “Arts are an essential component of a complete education in my opinion.”
