+ Roofing by Curry earns three GAF master elite awards
Roofing by Curry, a Sarasota-based roofing contractor, has been awarded all three of the GAF Master Elite Excellence awards and the 2013 President’s Club Award.

Roofing by Curry becomes one of only 89 contractors in the United States to earn all three of the GAF Master Elite Excellence Awards.

GAF, the nation’s largest roofing manufacturer, recognized the company for its dedication to quality roof system installations, commitment to improvement and superior customer service.

Roofing by Curry serves Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice and specializes in repairs, replacements and installation of tile, shingle, metal and flat roofs.

“Choosing a roofer is intimidating to many home and business owners. They don’t know whom to trust,” says president and owner Gary Curry. “This recognition gives the consumers an extra dose of confidence in our quality and service.”

+ Neal Communities hits April sales record
Lakewood Ranch-based home builder Neal Communities celebrated its best April on record.

The company sold 88 homes last month — an increase of 22% compared with April 2013.

“We cite several factors that led to the best April sales month we have ever had as a company,” said David Hunihan, director of sales at Neal Communities. “With a longer winter season up north, a strong Florida economy and plentiful home choices including inventory, buyers continue to see the value in the Southwest Florida real estate market,” he said.

Sales took place in 16 communities from Manatee to Lee counties.

In the East County, Central Park in Lakewood Ranch, which is expected to sell out this year, notched nine sales, while Fairfield had eight sales and River’s Reach had seven sales.

+ Concession sales gaining momentum
Just more than a year after relaunching sales in The Concession, the community’s developer reports it has closed on 19 home sites this year and expects to close on seven more by the end of the month.

Twenty-five homes are under construction.

Two models — one by Arthur Rutenberg and one by Lee Wetherington — are open daily.

Realtors engage in house-hunting show
Bryan and Cheri Guentner have house hunting on their minds.

The Guentners, owners of RE/MAX Platinum Realty, recently returned from London, where they attended “A Place in the Sun Live,” the official exhibition of the hit British television show, “A Place in the Sun.”

Similar to the American show “House Hunters,” “A Place in the Sun” helps British house hunters find dream homes abroad.

The Guentners, joining real estate professionals from around the world, represented RE/MAX Platinum Realty’s Global Division and International Department. They promoted the firm’s real estate listings and developer clients, including new-home communities.

The couple connected with real estate professionals from more than 40 countries. Each day of the three-day show, Bryan Guentner was featured on a panel about how to purchase property in the United States and Florida.

“There were more than 14,000 people in attendance over the three-day show, which was the best-attended show since 2005,” said broker-owner Bryan Guentner. “We were able to showcase the RE/MAX Platinum Realty brand and the Sarasota and Venice, Florida, area and, in doing so, connected with several potential buyers.”

After leaving London, the Guentners met with international real estate professionals in Paris to further network and promote their firm’s listings.

The Global Homes Division is based in the RE/MAX Platinum Realty Lakewood Ranch office at 8215 Natures Way, Unit 109, Lakewood Ranch.
