+ Taussig celebrates 30 years as a notary
Nancy Taussig, owner of Barefoot Weddings, recently celebrated her 30th anniversary as a notary public.

Taussig was commissioned by the state of Florida in June 1984. She performed her first wedding ceremony in 1990 and has officiated more than 1,350 weddings.

Barefoot Weddings is a 20-year member of the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce and won its 2009 Small Business of the Year in the 10 or fewer employees category. Taussig has served on several chamber committees and currently serves on the Key Wedding Professionals Committee.

+ Sand Cay receives certificate of excellence
Sand Cay Beach Resort received a 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Certificate of Excellence winners are determined by traveler reviews and ratings.

+ Pro-Motion Notions celebrates 25 years
Pro-Motion Notions celebrated its 25th anniversary June 19.

The firm specializes in branding companies in the U.S. Founded in 1989 in Buffalo, N.Y., by Annette Gueli, the company moved its headquarters in December 1998 to Sarasota.

Since then, the company has acquired Bay South Media, Inspire Promotions and Traci Keychain. It opened Anchor Promotions, a division that specializes in event promotions, in 2005 and FastAd Specialties, which serves clients with rush needs, in 2007.

In the past six months, the company has hired three new staffers and opened a satellite sales office, in addition to acquiring Traci Keychain.
