Students Melissa Skinner, Zuleyka Llinas, and Matt Hill and instructors Nicole Martinelli and Samantha Slechta, of Keiser University Center for Culinary Arts, made the side dishes.
Volunteer Sarasota County Fire Fighters Alicia Puzzanchera, Joe Raridan, Jennifer Halbert, Matt Wilson and Aaron Atkinson marinated their ribs the night before and used four ovens to cook all of them.

Station22 firefighters Tony Barrett and Rob Rignati said their station dry-rubbed the ribs the night before and started cooking them at 7 a.m. The station made its own barbecue sauce.
