WEEKEND BEST BET: Sarasota Craft Festival

Robarts Arena is full of more than 125 craftsmen (and women) Dec. 6 through Dec. 8 for the 4th annual Sarasota Craft Show. Their work features ceramics, decorative fiber, glass jewelry, leather, metal, mixed-media, paper, wearable art, wood, painting, photography and sculpture — it appeals to all tastes and price ranges.

If you’re looking for a piece to hang above the mantle, or a small stocking stuffer — you can find both here. There’s a great representation of national, regional and even local artists.

The show takes place until 6 p.m. today, Dec. 6. It also runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Blvd. Admission is $9; $8 for seniors; $5 for students and $12 for a three-day pass.
