The 9th annual Caring Hearts Luncheon and Silent Auction supports First Step's Mother & Infants program.
Mothers & Infants provides a safe, supportive environment for pregnant women with substance abuse issues where they can begin a life of recovery while also gaining parenting, educational and vocational skills. Since the program began in 1995, more than 260 healthy, drug-free babies have been born.
Each year, the event honors the Caring Heart of the Year Award Recipient and features a program alum who shares her powerful story of substance abuse, recovery and motherhood, seldom leaving a dry eye in the room.
In addition to the luncheon, the event features a silent auction with a variety of art, jewelry, entertainment and dining packages.
