Commission to review park bench issue today

 →  Sarasota city commissioners will decide at today's regular meeting whether to keep benches out of Selby Five Points Park.

The Sarasota City Commission will discuss this afternoon at its regular meeting whether benches should be placed back in Selby Five Points Park.

The bench-removal decision was made last year after residents complained that the benches attracted transients and panhandlers and allowed them to mass together, which intimidates some citizens and tourists.
