The art of Japanese flower arranging will be taking center stage at Selby Botanical Gardens this weekend.
The local Ikebana International Chapter 115 will hold its 43rd annual Ikebana Exhibition, themed this year as “Ikebana Fantasy,” at the mansion at Selby Botanical Gardens.
Exhibits will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 26-27.
“There will be demonstrations throughout each day on the veranda outside the mansion where you will observe an arrangement created and learn about the history and culture of this art,” Publicity Chair and East County resident Polly Curran said.
Selby will be holding its annual plant fair this weekend as well, with entrance costs of $9. The Ikebana exhibit is included in the price of admission.
