Downtown parking garage lowers rate for weekend holiday event

The city of Sarasota will offer $2 cash entry fee rates to use the Palm Avenue parking garage during an upcoming downtown holiday event.

For the Christmas Boat Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 10, the city will offer the rate from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The boat parade starts at 6 p.m. Saturday along the Sarasota Bayfront.

Also, Fruitville Road and Ringling Boulevard, which both are undergoing construction improvements, will have all lanes open that evening to alleviate traffic concerns.
