Early voting for runoff begins today

Starting today, registered voters in District 1 can vote early in the runoff election between City Commission candidates Willie Shaw and Linda Holland.

The two were the top two candidates in a four-person race in the March city election.

Early voting runs through May 8. The actual election is held May 10, with the winner and two other new city commissioners, Paul Caragiulo and Shannon Snyder, being sworn into office May 13.

Voters wishing to cast their ballots early do so at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 101 S. Washington Blvd.
Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
